Paula Phelan has been photographing for over twenty years. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, galleries, public buildings and in private collections. Paula has shown in solo exhibitions nationwide and her work is part of the international Women In Photography collection. Paula has most recently shown at the Jadite and Focal Point Galleries in New York. She holds a masters degree psychology and graphics and a Ph.D. in psychology.

Paula works in 35mm film, digital and 20" x 24" Polaroid formats. Her digital work captures the true nature of the subject and is never manipulated or altered in any way. Paula also shoots and prints her work full frame. Less than one in a thousand photographs is ever cropped. According to Paula, capturing the naturally existing beauty and magic of a subject is the focus of her art - and it is found everywhere in everyday situations.
